Iggy's Suzuki GSX-R750
08/09/2026[From September's M4A newsletter, by Iggy, Accounts].
I fell in love with the Suzuki GSX-R750 K8 long before I could ride one. I was still a schoolgirl, eagerly waiting for the next ride on the back of my dad’s bike, when I first saw it in a magazine - absolute perfection.
To me, it’s still the most aesthetically pleasing sports bike ever made. Every line and every curve is perfection.
Now, I’m older the looks aren’t the most important thing for me, but thankfully my gixxer has the substance to match: that legendary inline-four is the perfect balance between the agility of a 600 and the power of a liter bike. There’s a reason the GSX-R750 has always had such a special reputation - light, RELIABLE and powerful. Everyone knows this bike is tough and it won’t let you down - this is of significant importance for me, I don’t like breakdowns.
The only downside? Women used to hype me up at traffic lights when I rode naked bikes. Now they see the GSX-R, assume there’s a man under the helmet… and I can actually see the disappointment when they realise it’s a woman riding this sexy beast.
Sorry, ladies.
