An icon of its time - The Honda Super Blackbird

0-60 in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 178mph, for less money than a brand new CB125F.

This is the Honda Super Blackbird, and from 1996 until 1999 it held the record of the fastest production bike on the market. Now, you can pick one up used for just £3000, and in our opinion, it's one of the best value buys out there.

The thing that makes this bike unique is that it's not just fast. It's comfortable, it has fittings for full luggage, and it's reliable - we've seen plenty of these with mileages in the 6 figure reigon.

The blackbird might not have the legacy of the Hayabusa, but - it's cheaper, it's lighter, and in my opinion, the best bang-for-buck sports tourer that money can buy.
