A lot of people seem to say that so-called Bike Season runs from Spring through to around September. In my opinion, however, the late autumn into early winter months can make for some of the best biking weather and most beautiful scenery of the year. In Autumn 2025, before the busyness of our move to Newent, I was lucky enough to spend a lot of my time test-riding and reviewing bikes as they came into our showroom. It was on these rides around the Malverns that I found my love for this time of the year. The weather is warm enough not to need thermals, but cool enough that you dont start sweating at traffic lights. The light lasts long enough that you dont end up riding home in the dark, but is less harsh than the bright, overhead midsummer sun. Then, of course, theres the beauty of a British Autumn: golden trees, low mists and that crisp, cool air. The three-and-a-half months that led up to the opening were made up of hours upon hours of clearing, cleaning, bricklaying, painting, signing, and much more to get us to where we are now. We couldnt have done it without the amazing builders, electricians, network engineers, sign manufacturers and of course, our staff, who all contributed hugely to the project. In the six months that have followed our opening day, weve had thousands of you come down to see the space, browse the shop, buy bikes, or enjoy an event. Whilst there have been many hurdles (such as almost immediately realising we needed more parking - which we now have in place) we couldnt be happier with the progress weve made and the feedback weve received. With the showroom almost in a state of completion, we move onto our next project - the cafe. I fell in love with the Suzuki GSX-R750 K8 long before I could ride one. I was still a schoolgirl, eagerly waiting for the next ride on the back of my dads bike, when I first saw it in a magazine - absolute perfection. To me, its still the most aesthetically pleasing sports bike ever made. Every line and every curve is perfection. Now, Im older the looks arent the most important thing for me, but thankfully my gixxer has the substance to match: that legendary inline-four is the perfect balance between the agility of a 600 and the power of a liter bike. Theres a reason the GSX-R750 has always had such a special reputation - light, RELIABLE and powerful. Everyone knows this bike is tough and it wont let you down - this is of significant importance for me, I dont like breakdowns. The only downside? Women used to hype me up at traffic lights when I rode naked bikes. Now they see the GSX-R, assume theres a man under the helmet and I can actually see the disappointment when they realise its a woman riding this sexy beast. This is the Honda Super Blackbird, and from 1996 until 1999 it held the record of the fastest production bike on the market. Now, you can pick one up used for just 3000, and in our opinion, it's one of the best value buys out there. The thing that makes this bike unique is that it's not just fast. It's comfortable, it has fittings for full luggage, and it's reliable - we've seen plenty of these with mileages in the 6 figure reigon. Hundreds of people have lost their jobs, customers and suppliers have been left in difficult situations and the industry has lost another player. From our side of things, the news has found us facing the same question across countless phone calls, emails and comments - "If I buy or sell with you, how do I know the same thing won't happen?" The first thing we should say, is that businesses across all industries can be vulnerable to external factors such as economic shifts, evolving trends, politics and much more. However, we've always tried to build our business in a way that makes it as resilient as possible, and here's how: Firstly, there's our showroom - we own it. That means no landlord, no rent increases, and full control over our premises. Then there are the bikes. Every one of the 500+ used motorcycles in our showroom is owned outright by Motorbikes 4 All. We don't rely on stocking finance for our used bike inventory, which gives us greater control over the business. The same approach applies to how we've grown. Over the last 16 years, we've expanded considerably, but steadily, and choosing to operate from a single site keeps our overheads under control and allows us to focus on long-term, sustainable growth. Behind every dealership are passionate people who have dedicated their careers to motorcycling, and we sincerely hope that employees, customers, suppliers and partners find certainty and support in the weeks ahead. The UK motorcycle industry is a tight-knit community, and while we compete, we all have the same goal - to grow the number of bikers on the road and to help customers find their dream bikes. We've already spoken to customers asking whether the recent Superbike Factory news affects other motorcycle dealers. We'd like to reassure both existing and prospective customers that we are an independent motorcycle dealership and continue to operate exactly as normal. If youve been to our showroom recently you might have spotted a certain red banner on one of our outbuildings. Every day, were having customers ask when the cafe will be ready, so we thought you lot are due an update. M4A Cafe (actual name pending) plans to be more than just a cafe. Our vision is a hub for bikers, motoring enthusiasts and M4A locals, offering fairly priced food & drink, events, regular bike & car meets, and much more. Sadly, we still cant give you an exact date at this point. Our priorities have been getting the showroom and the outdoor spaces completed before we begin work on the cafe. As much as we want a cafe as part of our offering, the dealership has to take the front seat as the core of the business. With no showroom, theres no cafe. Having said this, we have recently teamed up with Gingernut Coffee, who will be bringing their van to the showroom every Saturday for the foreseeable, supplying coffee (including iced!), cakes, bacon rolls and much more. Ive owned three Daytona 675s in my 15 years of riding, two first gen and one third gen, and Id buy another in a heartbeat. Replacing an inline-four with a triple in a 2000s sports bike was a bold move from Triumph, but it paid off. Its not that the previous Daytonas were bad bikes, but the 675 engine has stood the test of time, and in my opinion, its a future classic. The Daytona 675 engine offers enough power and agility for a track day, while remaining manageable and comfortable enough for a leisurely Sunday ride-out. Then there are the looks: the perfect blend of modern and retro. The ahead-of-its-time styling, retro typography, underseat exhaust and sweeping headlights all combine to create a design that still feels fresh two decades later.
